2022 November "Squares Explosion From Eleven'd Stars" Scarlett on Orange

  • India ink drawings have a long tradition in many countries. Excellent coverage as well as high lightfastness and ageing resistance have always been the compelling characteristics of this drawing medium.

Faber-Castell® has combined all the advantages of artists’ ink in a modern, uncomplicated drawing instrument, the Pitt Artist Pen. · Pigmented India ink · High lightfastness · Waterproof on absorbent surfaces (e.g. paper) · Does not bleed through paper · Odourless, acid-free, pH neutral

356 or 300 gsm ARCHES® hot pressed natural white cotton paper from a cylinder mould made roll.  ARCHES® is the only paper mill in the world to gelatin size its watercolour paper “to the core”. The irregular edge gives the paper a softer, authentic feel.
The only improvment modernitiy has provided is the development of a fungicidal treatment to prevent the appearance of mould. With alkaline reserve, acid-free, no optical brightening agents (permanent in accordance with ISO 9706)

Inks are made in Germany, and the paper is made in France.  Ink seepage and seperation over time through the paper is the full story of this piece.

    Best enjoyed over generations.
